Get Started with These Easy Steps
Whether you're new to Frame.io, revisiting us, or have been a power user for years, there are tons of new workflows and features to discover. This welcome guide will walk through all the essentials steps to make sure you're fully equipped to start building out your projects in no time.
Let's begin by following along with the onboarding checklist tasks as you set up your account. Click the link of the title to go to the corresponding knowledge base article for more information.
When you navigate to next.frame.io (or click the home 🏠 icon in-app), you’ll land inside your Workspace. This is your hub where to organize all of your Projects. From here, create a new Project by navigating to your Workspace and clicking the New Project (+) box. Activate Project privacy if you wish to control Project access. Make sure to try out our Project templates for quick Project and asset creation.
You can drag and drop your media file or folder anywhere onto the Project page, or select the "+" > File upload or Folder upload on the top right of your Project.
Double-click on an asset to view it. Watch your video in up to 4k playback, view the properties of the video, and test out the player features like frame guides and playback speeds. With a second upload, test out the Comparison Viewer.
Type a comment and press Enter to send for a single-frame comment. Discover how to create range-based and anchored comments as well. You can even attach files, add annotations, and more!
Select one or more assets, then click Share to generate a Share Link. Sort your assets and adjust the Settings, Layout, Security, and Permissions as well to ensure your Share Link is prepared for your client. Add your own custom images and banners as well!
You can choose to add a teammate to your Workspace or a specific Project. To add a teammate to your Project, click the “People” icon in the top right of the Project space, enter their email, choose their access, and click Add to send out an invite. Allow more people to help build out your account with you to keep the cycle going.
