FAQ

Q: Can I use mounted paths directly in my NLE (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Resolve, etc.)?

A: Yes. Mounted folders appear as standard OS paths, so creative apps can read/write directly. These complement (not replace) Frame’s review workflows in the web app and panels.

Q: Do Frame comments/timecode annotations stay in sync with files accessed via the mount?

A: Yes. Comments and annotations live in Frame and remain attached to the asset even if the file is accessed through Mounted Storage.

Q: Does Mounted Storage support application-aware project locking (for example Premiere Productions locking)?

A: Mounted Storage does not add application-aware locking on top of what the creative app provides. Some apps have their own locking behaviors; and Mounted Storage does support lock files such as .prlock used by Premiere.

Q: Which creative apps are compatible?

A: Mounted Storage works with any application that reads/writes standard file system paths. Creative apps that have been specifically validated include Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint).
