Workflow

Note: First ensure that you have a Frame.io Project mounted with Frame.io Drive.

  1. Locate your Local tab on the left-side panel. Your mounted Projects will appear here for you to navigate and view your media from Frame.io. Adding additional assets into your mounted Project will populate from this panel location as well.

  2. Selecting an asset will open up in your image viewer in Lightroom, or drag and drop an asset from your Finder window from the mounted Project to appear in Lightroom.

  3. Continue to work on your cloud-based media within Lightroom.

  4. When finished with the edit, go to File > Export and export it in the mounted Project which will upload automatically to Frame.io. The newly exported file will upload to Frame.io to that Project location. Make sure to monitor Upload Status in Frame.io Drive app to ensure file has completed it's uploaded.

Version Stack

If the Lightroom or Lightroom Classic project is being saved to the Mounted Project, each save will create a new version on Frame.io up to a max of 250 versions. Once max is reached, oldest versions will be moved to trash. Only the latest version is ever visible in Finder/File Explorer.
