Sharing assets on the iOS app

Create a Share link from the iOS app to allow your clients to view clips without creating an account.

Creating the share link

​Sharing assets from the project page​

To share assets from the project page, click the three-dots on the asset and select “New Share” or “Add to Existing Share”.

Selecting “New Share” will open the Share Builder for the link. Selecting “Add to Existing Share” will open a list of all the share links created within the project.

In the event the asset is already included in the selected link, a message notifying you that it cannot be added again.

Sharing assets from the asset viewer

Tap the three-dots in the top right corner and select “New Share” or “Add to Existing Share”

Sharing assets from the sidebar

On the project page, tap the panel option in the top left corner. At the bottom of the panel, any existing Share links will appear. To create a new Share link, select “ + New Share”.

Share Builder

The Share Builder will open where you can edit the appearance of your share. Depending on the layout of your link, the settings may look different.

Share customization

Share Logo: To set an emoji logo for your Share, tap the + in the top left corner.
Share Header: Adjust the Share header size and choose whether or not to show the logo, creation information, description and background image.

Header Size: Set the size of the header
Show Logo: Allows you to choose whether or not the logo will be visible on the link.
Show Creation Info: Allows you to show who created the link.
Show Description: Allows you to show or hide the description information.
Show Background Image: Choose if the header image should be visible on the link. The header image can only be set using a web browser.

Share appearance

Dark/Light mode: Change the theme of your share link to either dark mode or light mode.
Card size: Choose the size of the thumbnails and file information.
Aspect Ratio: Select the asset card dimensions depending on your assets aspect size. The options are 16:9 for widescreen assets, 1:1 for square assets and 9:16 for vertical assets.
Thumbnail Scale: Choose whether the thumbnail image will scale to fit to the aspect ratio or expand to fill the entire box.
Titles: Choose if longer titles should be displayed in one line or two lines.
Show Card Info: Toggle to show the asset name or only the thumbnail.

Fields

Adjust the fields visible for the assets within the link.

Sorting your assets

Adjust how the assets in the link will be sorted. Choose from preset options or select Custom Sort to choose the order in which your assets appear.

Share customization

Add a note for your recipient: Allows you to leave a note for any users that open the link. The note will appear with the creation information.

To edit the share appearance, tap the pen icon in the bottom right corner and choose “appearance”.

Accent Color: Choose an accent color for your Share link.

To adjust the fields of the share link, tap the pen icon in the bottom right corner and choose “Fields”.

Sorting your assets

Adjust how the assets in the link will be sorted, tap the pen icon in the bottom right corner and choose “Sort”. Choose from preset options or select Custom Sort to choose the order in which your assets appear.

Share Settings

Tap the “Settings” option at the bottom of the screen to adjust your links permissions and access. toggle visibility, set a password or expiration date and enabled/disable commenting or downloading on the link.

Share Access

Link Visibility: This toggle will allow you to disable users ability to send or view the link. While visibility is enabled, anyone who has the link can access the link contents.

Layout

Grid/Reel Layout: Change the layout of your Share link. The Grid layout provides a full view of your media. The Reel layout provides single player page that lets you change out media from left to right.
Open in Asset Viewer (only visible on single asset links): This toggle allows users to bypass the share link landing page.

Security (Pro and Team only)

Passphrase: Allows you to enable for the user to input before accessing the link and it's contents.
Expiration Date: Enables a date and time the link would be viewable before the access is removed.

Permissions (Pro and Team only)

Allow Comments: Allows you to prevent users from leaving or viewing comments on the link.
Allow Downloads: Allows you to prevent users from downloading assets in the link.
Show all versions: Allows a user to view all versions or only the newest one in a version stack.

Fields

Featured Field: Allows you to choose the default field to be edited by Share recipients. Any changes made to this field will be reflected on assets inside the project too.

View Share

“View Share” will allow you to see exactly what the recipient sees when they open the link.

Send Link

"Send Link" will allow you to email, text or save the URL link to any connected applications on your phone.

Share Information

To view share information, tap the three-dots in the top right corner of the Share landing page.

Views: Number of times the Share has been opened.
Last Viewed: How long ago the link was last opened.
Created By: User that create the Share link.
Created On: Date the link was created.
Send Share URL: Allows you to send the link to others via email, text, or save the URL to a connected application on you phone.
Open in browser: Allows you to view the Share using the mobile browser.
Close Share: Allows you to close the Share link and return to your account.

Managing the Share Link

Grid Layout

To manage the share link in, select the three-dots in the top right corner of the share page.

Adding assets to a link

To add new assets to an existing link, you can select either the three-dots in the top right corner or select “Add Assets” from the options displayed below the description.

Removing assets from a link

To remove assets from an existing link, you can select either the three-dots in the top right corner or select “Remove Assets” from the options displayed below the description.

Duplicating Shares

Selecting “Duplicate Share” will create an exact copy of the link. To access the copy, you can navigate back to the project and open the “Shares” list in the side panel.

Deleting Shares

To delete a share link, tab the three-dots in the top right corner and select “delete share”. Once a link is deleted, it’ll immediately be invalid if a user tries to access it.

To remove assets from the share link, tap the pen icon in the bottom right corner and choose “Remove Assets”.
