Create Version Stacks and manage your Version Saves to organize your clips' revisions rather than having multiple versions as individual files in your project.
Version Stacking
To create a Version Stack, upload the new version, then drag it on top of the original version. Do this as many times as needed with multiple asset versions to combine all within a single thumbnail location. Be sure the new version has fully uploaded before creating your Version Stack.
Once you've created the Version Stack, double-click to open in the Player Page, the newest version will be ready to view.
Access all of the versions by clicking the version number at the top of the page. You can view any previous version in that stack.

Reorder versions within your version stack
On the project page, click the menu options on your version stack by clicking the three-dot menu and select Version History. Drag and drop the versions into the proper order.
To quickly manage the version stack, you can click on the version icon on the asset from within the project page.
Remove a version from a stack
Click the menu options on your version stack by clicking the three dots - select manage version stack, click the three-dot button next to the version and select "Remove from stack."
Version History
When utilizing the Mounted Storage feature found in Frame.io Drive, files you save locally will no longer version stack but instead be automatically nested in your version history and attach to the latest version you're working on. This will avoid
comments and metadata from being buried on old versions.
Each save will be indicated by the save counter just below the file name where you can also find info on the date, time, and author of the updated save.
Click the three-dot menu to download any specific save to your desktop.
Saves do not consume storage. Storage size of a version is calculated based on the size of the most recent save.
Note: The Mounted Storage feature in the Frame.io Drive app
is needed to use the version saves function.
