What browser should I use with Frame.io?

Written by Jared

Fully Supported Browsers

The top choice browser to use Frame.io while on a computer would be Google Chrome on both Mac and PC. Safari and Firefox are also preferred. Each browser may display colors slightly differently, which is not controlled by Frame.io.

The closest to color accuracy would be Safari. This is due to Safari using the same color scheme as the system.

Not Supported Browsers

If your operating system does not support the newest browsers, you may find it difficult to use Frame.io. Mobile browsers (Chrome/Safari from your smartphone or tablet) are not fully supported. Share links do not work within mobile browsers.

Other browsers may be partially supported, but use at your own discretion. For example, Microsoft Edge v79 and above (based on Chromium) is a supported browser, but earlier versions (before Chromium) are not supported, so your experience may vary.

Microsoft Internet Explorer is not supported.

Update your browser

If you are having trouble in Frame.io and are using one of our supported browsers, try updating the browser to see if this makes a difference. Frame.io is using cutting-edge technology that is only supported on the newest versions of each browser.
